Unconditional love.
Something that most of us aren't lucky enough to
receive. And even if you love someone
unconditionally, that does not almost always mean
that it will be reciprocated. But for those lucky
few...count yourselves blessed. Marshall and Kim are
back together trying to work things out. I'm not
going to try and summarise this story in a few
sentences because in all honestly where would I
start? Dru has written a story with amazing plot
twists and it renders me speechless.
What set's "Rain"
apart from every other Eminem fanfiction is that it
is told from three different points of view.
Marshall's, Kim's and Lily Rayne's. What makes
"Rain" unique is that you get three different
insights into the events unfolding around you. Dru
has the amazing ability to get you to connect with
the characters and put yourself into their
situations and feel what they're feeling. Not many
people can do that, and not many people can do it
well. Dru excels, let me tell you.
At any one time, you
can be crying for one character, screaming at
another, laughing with (or at as the case may be)
with another and all the while getting emotionally
involved.
What I love so much
about this story is the way Dru portrays
relationships. They're so hauntingly real and honest
and she doesn't sugarcoat anything. Her character's
have faults and I love that so much. It makes them
more humanlike - as if you could suck them out of
the computer screen, sit them next to you, have a
conversation and actually believe what they're
saying.
So, in summing this
all up, what I am trying to say is that "Rain" is
believable and readable. It's a story that you will
sit down intending to read just a few chapters and
then sit up all night finishing. It's just that
good.
Well done, Dru! I
can't wait to read more of your work. ~ Kate, May
