Butterfly |
I fell.
You spin a web on tangled lies.
You caught me.
My wings were damaged in your web.
You were a spider,
Moving slowly and agonizingly to your prey.
My heart pounded.
Was I worthy?
You spent forever looking and contemplating.
When you finished you turned your back and left.
I struggled with all my might.
Trying with everything I had to free my self from your web.
Another came who had scars from you and freed me.
I flew free, although damaged.
I healed in time, but there is still one scar,
The one on my heart |

My Heart
Can Fly |
I never knew,
I just assumed.
I thought you loved me,
Or at least like me.
I never should have,
You never said anything.
But I assumed and let my heart get away from me.
You gave it wings with a smile,
And you taught it to fly with your compliments.
You made my heart fly to you with your flirting.
You caught it with one hand.
You were not gentle.
You tore off its wings and threw it to the floor.
It stayed that way for what seemed like eternity.
Slowly new wings grew stronger with the help of another.
He caught it with gentle hands and healed the scars you left
behind.
But my heart did not need to learn to fly with anyone else’s
help.
It can do that by itself now. |

Used |
Used.
That’s how I feel.
I gave you my heart, but you laughed in vain.
And with each laugh there was a whip on my soul.
Each thrash leaving a trail of blood.
I tried to stop you.
But you only hit harder and harder.
Till suddenly you just stopped.
I mended my self back together.
You came back, and you saw something I had.
You tried to pry your way in.
But you know what?
You won’t get anything now. |

Thief |
You are a thief.
Stealthy and quick.
You stole so much from me, and from others.
With not even a second thought about it.
You stole my heart with your eyes,
You took my breath away with your smile,
You took my love captive with your words.
I was happy and willing to give them all to you.
Once you had them, you abused them.
I freed my mind and my heart.
Then I freed myself completely.
I won’t fall for your lies again. |

The Road of
Love |
I loved you and you loved me,
We were an inseparable two,
Just you and me.
No matter how many miles,
That were between us,
We didn't care,
Nothing could ever come between us.
Life was tough,
A never-ending road.
You helped me through it,
As if there were nothing to it.
Then one day we broke apart,
I couldn't believe it; you broke my heart.
Just as quickly as we got together,
We split apart.
I cared for you with all my heart;
I guess at one time you just forogt.
You and me,
I thought we were meant to be.
But thats the road of love..... |

Invisible |
You'll never know who I am,
I'll just be an image.
A memory you won't remember.
You'll never know who I am
Cuz you can't see past an image.
You can't see past the end of your nose,
So how could you see me?
I do want the world to see me,
But I don't think that they have the key.
You do.
You hold the key to my heart and to my life.
Why don't you use it?
You let this facade fool you,
But why do you? |

Your Love |
You are ice-hearted, cold, and unfeeling.
A hard stone without emotion,
But your love overwhelms me.
I feel safe in your arms,
And powerless when you push me away.
I cry, tears stream down my cheeks as you isolate yourself.
You have extra baggage.
Baggage you don't want and baggage you don't want to talk about.
I don't care,
All I feel is love in my heart,
That's my only emotion.
I have turned into a blank page except for your name written on my heart.
Your love resounds through me,
Pure and simple,
Your Love. |
