2-8-05: The shadyfiction domain will be two years old on February 25th. I am, as usual, so far behind on everything. All recently submitted updates have been added to the fan fiction section. The news page is months behind, and I hope to add some magazine scans sometime in the near future. In addition, a separate server has been setup for audio and video content. The files should be available again within a couple of weeks... and as always, here's my standard plea: please leave feedback for the writers.

7-14-04: All the fan fiction/ original writing updates received since 6/26 have been completed.

6-26-04: All the fan fiction updates submitted for the last three weeks have been uploaded. Please leave feedback for anything you read.

4-22-04: I've still got a few updates to do... I have several submissions I couldn't get to today, as well as a few that need editing etc..,

Less than forty people have joined the mailing list. Very few people responded when I asked the site visitors to help out with replacing the lost feedback, and the votes for the awards haven't exactly been pouring in either. There's really not much I can say about all of it, aside from the fact that I'm sick of busting my ass for everyone else. Site costs are at an all time high, and I'm not really seeing much incentive to keep going at this point. I can't beg, steal, or buy feedback for the writers, and ... fuck it. I've just had it. All I'm gonna say is, if you enjoy this site- please give back an hour of your time and participate in something. ~ Jenn

4-11-04: I've got a few more updates for later today... the voting page is up and running, and there's new stuff on the Audio/Video and news pages.

4-1-04: I just finished reorganizing and renaming all the photos in the gallery. What a job that was, LOL. There's about 400 new ones, so be sure to check it out. I did each gallery completely over, so all the new photos are evenly distributed...I have quite a few fic updates to do... I'll try to get to them by this weekend. I can't accept one page submissions anymore, so I'll be posting something about that soon as well.

Shadyfiction will be appearing in the edition of XXL that hits newsstands at the end of April.

There's three days left to put your nominations in for the 2004 SF awards. The voting page will be up sometime after 12:00 a.m. EST on April 5th. ~ Jenn

3-28-04: Most of the fic updates are done, there's still a couple to go though... I'm planning to put at least half of the photo gallery up later today if I can. Sorry it's taking so long. Nominations for the 2004 shadyfiction awards are CLOSING on Sunday April 4rth. Please put your entries in if you haven't already.

3-27-04: More updates are on the way. If yours hasn't been done, please don't worry. I have several more to go. As I'll be adding content all weekend, remember to hold down your Ctrl key and click on the refresh button in your browser for the most recent content.

3-18-04: The updates are really pouring in! I'll have them added along with the gallery by this weekend at the latest. My muse is back so to speak, and I've been busy working on chapter 13 of Julie's Story. I'll be updating it again in the forum within a couple of days, and the completed chapter will be posted on the web site sometime next week.

Please put in your nominations for the 2004 shadyfiction awards! The response has been good so far, but I'd like to hear from a few more people.. Just click on awards/vote to submit your favorites via web form.

What's happened to all the live feedback?? There haven't been too many additions to the page this week, and I added tons of new chapters and stories last weekend. If you haven't already reviewed privately or in the forum, please write a little something for what you've read. The authors need feedback almost as much as they need the air they breathe... at least, I know I thrive on it. You can also review the completed fics and/or your favorites there. It doesn't have to be for new material only... (hint, hint).

3-13-04: Well... the new site design is up. There's new content on basically every page, and hopefully it's easier to read/ navigate. A couple of pages aren't done yet (the photo gallery and site stats) but they'll be up sometime this weekend. I tested most of the pages, but please let me know if you find any errors i.e., broken links or anything that just doesn't look right. I literally re-built/ modified hundreds of pages and links, so I'm sure there are some screw ups here and there.

The header image on all the main pages is set as a background, and I realized too late that it was tiling at high resolutions on very small screens (namely my new Sony laptop). I tried everything imaginable to fix it, but nothing worked. Let me know if it's repeating on your display... and if you happen to be a css expert, I'll love you forever if you tell me how to fix the piece of shit!

As for the fic updates.... I've done all of them that I had. If I missed yours, please send it again. I did the best I could to keep them all together, but it was 5+ weeks worth of chapters and new stories.

My apologies (as usual, I know) to everyone that's waiting for an email from me. I've been putting most of my time into finishing the site design, and my email responses have really lagged. I'll get back to everyone as soon as possible though.

There should be an update to Julie's Story sometime this week if I don't end up with a lot of site problems to fix, and there's an update in the works for Survival of the Fittest that should be done in another week or two. I'm also thinking about putting up a couple of chapters to a book I've been working on in Original Writings, but I want to get some more editing done on it first.

Anyway, that's all I can think of for now. I'd love to hear what you all think of the new design, so if you have a minute- please email me. My address is linked under 'contact,' on all the main pages, or you can just post something on the feedback page.
