1. Any review submitted may be posted at shadyfiction.com.
2. The winner's fic (written by me) will be posted on the
site and remains the property of shadyfiction.com. I will
gladly send you a copy in Microsoft Word or text format, but
it is not to be posted at any other site without my
permission.
3. The contest deadline is the last day of every month. The
winner will be announced on the 1st, and will have seven
days to contact me with their fic request unless prior
arrangements have been made. If you know you'll be on
vacation - consider including your request with your contest
entry. If I don't hear from you within seven days, the fic
goes to the first runner up.
4. The Amazon.com gift certificate will be emailed to the
address you used to submit your entry unless you tell me
otherwise.
5. The custom fic can literally be anything the winner wants
- don't be shy when making your request. I can write a sweet
PG-13 or a down and dirty NC-17. It's up to you! Be as
specific as you want to be. The only exclusions (stuff I
won't write) are: slash, rape, sex with a minor.
6. You don't have to sign your real name to your entry. Sign
any name you want. I won't release anyone's identity or
email address without their permission.
7. I can't commit to more than five pages for the winner's
fic, but if you impress the hell out of me with your reviews
- I'll be feeling generous when I sit down to write!
Clarification: the contest is for a total of two
reviews. In other words, don't review the same writer twice.
Pick two stories, each with a different author, and review
them. You can enter more than once, so if you want to review
the same author(s) in that instance, that's fine. Here's an
example:
Contest entry# 1
review for Christine, Game of Chance
review for Aimee, Life Changes
Contest entry#2
review for Christine, Don't Wanna Try
review for Aimee, Marshall Gets Punk'd
Note: please don't be discouraged if you didn't
win. It's incredibly hard for me to pick the winning
entries, and just because you didn't win this month doesn't
mean you won't win next month. I've had a lot of people
enter the contest once and give up, and I really wish you
all would keep trying. Every review you send, whether it
wins or not- means a lot to the writer who received it. In
addition, there have been several times that I absolutely
agonized over who to pick only to receive NO entries
whatsoever the following month. And if you didn't realize
it, the only reviews I put on author pages are those that
are received through the contest. There are a lot of great
stories sitting out there without even one review.... |
