The Bachelor: After The Final Rose
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone, so don't sue me for the 3.6 billion dollars that I don't have.
Thank Yous: First off, I'd like to thank the people at Dell and the people at Friends for some great inspirations. *NSYNC for the song. I'd like to thank anyone who's given me feedback (You know who you are. No need for me to mention 1000 names.), and I'd like to thank Jenn for creating the site. Without you, I'd have nowhere to post this fic.

“It has an Intel Pentium 4 processor, Microsoft Windows XP, 512MB Dual channel DR SDRAM at 400MHz, 17” monitor, 80GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive, and 128MB Nvidia GeForce FX 5200” DeShaun said, referring to his new computer.
“So, what are you gunna use it for?” Obie asked.
“Eh...I don’t know...games and stuff.” DeShaun replied.
At that moment, Marshall came rushing in.
“Oh my gosh guys! You won’t believe what just happened!” Marshall said.
“What?”
“I kissed Kim last night.”
“Huh?”
“I know, I know, I know...I’ve been married to Ashley for five years now and everything is great. I love it with her. But...I don’t know...I just...ran into Kim last night...and we had a really good time. And I have really good times with Ashley too, but...I don’t know...I think I still might be in love with Kim. I’m in love with both of them.”
“I got 2 words for you Marshall.” Obie said.
“What?”
“Threesome.”
“You still got another word if you wanna use it.” DeShaun said.
“Oh, I know exactly what it is! How about HELP!” Said Marshall.
“Okay, let’s get logical about this. We can make a list. Kim and Ashley. Pros and Cons. And we can put their names in bold and use different fonts and colors for each section.”
“Can’t we just use a pen?” Marshall asked.
“No Amish boy.” DeShaun said.
“And we can start with the cons first because they’re more fun! Now, what’s something you don’t like about Kim?” Obie asked.
“Well...I don’t know...I guess she could be a little spoiled...and like...Ashley and I have a lot in common...and Kim just doesn’t. And ya know.... she’s...just a waitress. Oh, and her ankles are too chubby.”
“Okay...Okay...”DeShaun said while typing all of that stuff down.
“Now Ashley’s turn. What’s something you don’t like about Ashley?” Obie asked.
Marshall thought about that for a second...and then he replied, “She’s not Kim.”

Later
“I swear, I’ve pressed the print button at least 1000 times!!” DeShaun yelled into the phone to the guy on the Dell Hotline. “You know, for a hotline, you aren’t so hot!”
And at that moment, guessed who walked in...
Kim.
“Hey guys, what’s up?”
“Oh nothing. We’re just chilling.” Marshall said.
“What’s that?” Kim asked pointing to whatever was on the computer screen.
DeShaun rushed over to the laptop to put the top down so Kim couldn’t see. “Nothing. It’s nothing!” He replied.
And then it printed.
DeShaun quickly grabbed the paper before Kim did.
“What is that?” Kim asked. “I saw my name on that paper. What’s it about?”
“Nothing.”
“Tell me!”
“I already told you! It’s nothing!”
“Okay...stop playing around! I know something is written about me on that paper and I want to see it!!”
“Hey DeShaun...wasn’t that the short story you were writing?” Obie quickly asked.
“Oh yeah! My story.” DeShaun said.
“Well, what’s it about?” Kim asked.
“Oh...it’s nothing. Just something I wrote in a minute.”
“Well, let me see it!”
“Maybe you could read it to her.” Marshall suggested.
DeShaun gave him the death glace. His friend would pay for this.
“Alright. Umm...it was summer. Kim was there. And it was hot. And there was a lonely couch. ‘Oh look!’ Cried Ned. And then the kingdom was his forever. The End!”
“That’s your short story? Man, your the worst writer in the world!” Marshall joked.
“Okay guys, this isn’t funny anymore. Let me see it!” Kim said and snatched the paper out of DeShaun’s hand.
“See ya!” DeShaun said as he was leaving.
“I’m going with him!” Obie said and followed DeShaun leaving just Marshall to fend for himself.
“It’s not what you think.” Marshall said.
Kim just stood there and read the list.
“Doesn’t have too much in common, just a waitress, spoiled, and oh my gosh!! I do NOT have chubby ankles!!”
“But Kim! Read Ashley’s con list!”
“She’s not Kum.”
“It’s supposed to say Kim! She’s not Kim!” Marshall said.
But it was too late. Kim already walked out and went over to her sister’s Dawn’s apartment.
~*~*~
Marshall was climbing up the fire escape. He just *had* to get to Kim. Marshall banged on the window. “Kim! Open up! Let me in!”“When someone does not buzz you in, that does not give you the right to climb up their fire escape.” Kim said.
“But here’s your pro list!! I wanna read it to you.”
Kim shut the drapes on the window. But that didn’t stop Marshall. He just stood outside reading off her pro list.
“1. I love the way how you’re so good with Hailie and Whitney. 2. The way you cry at game shows. 3. How brave you are for all the shit that you have to put up with....”
At that point Marshall realized, Kim wasn’t even in the room. He went back to his place and made a phone call. Dawn answered.
“Hey.” She said.
“Hey. Can you do me a favor? Turn the radio on. And make sure Kim hears. Just do it.”
“Ummm...ok.”
“Thanks.”
Dawn went over to the guestroom where Kim was crying.
“Come here sweetie. Let’s listen to the radio. It’ll make you forget about everything.”
Dawn turned the radio on.
“And this one goes out to Kim from Marshall. Marshall wants you to know that he still loves you after all the terrible things he’s done.” Said the radio announcer.
It’s tearing up my heart when I’m with you
But when we are apart I feel it too
And no matter what I do I feel the pain
With or without youBaby I don’t understand
Just why we can’t be lovers
Things are getting out of hand
Trying too much but baby we can win
Let it go
If you want me girl let me know
I am down
On my knees
I can’t take this anymoreIt’s tearing up my heart when I’m with you
But when we are apart I feel it too
And no matter what I do I feel the pain
With or without youAt that point the song stopped and the radio announcer’s voice came on. “Excuse me everyone. We just got a phone call from Kim and she told us what Marshall did...it’s pretty appalling. And Marshall, if your listening...I don’t want to play your song anymore! Now let’s devote our time to a real couple who really stands a chance. Nicole, Brandon is sorry he ran you over with his car and he hopes you find it in your heart to forgive him.”
“Damn!” Marshall thought. He just had to get it through Kim’s head that he was sorry.
At that point his phone rang.
“Hey hubby.”
“Hey Ashley. How ya doing?”
“Oh, I’m good. Just held up at work. But don’t worry, I’ll be home within the hour.”
“Okay.”
“I was listening to the radio at work and what’s this about you and Kim.”
Oh shit. Marshall was in trouble now.
“Umm...Ashley, when I first met you on The Bachelor, I was in love with you. And umm...my heart now has led me in another direction.”
“What?”
“I’m sorry. I don’t love you anymore.”
“Oh my god.” Ashley said in between sobs.
“I’m sorry Ashley.”
“I guess that means we’ll be going down to the courthouse tomorrow to file for a divorce.”
“Yeah. I’m sorry. I never meant to hurt you.”
Marshall hung up and decided to go back to Dawn’s apartment. This time Dawn answered the door and let him in.
“Where’s Kim?” Marshall asked.
“Guestroom.”
Marshall knocked on the door. “Kim, we need to talk.”
Kim opened the door.
“Look Kim, I know how you feel--” Marshall began, but Kim cut him off.
“No you don’t know how I feel! Imagine the worst possible things that you think about yourself and then imagine the one person, you truly care about, that actually writes those things down and uses them against you as reasons not to be with you.”
“But Kim! I want to be with you in spite of all those things! And if things were the other way around, there is nothing you could ever put on a list that would make me not want to be with you.”
“Well, I guess that’s the difference between you and me. You see Marshall, I’d never make a list.”
And with that, Kim closed the door.

It was the very next day. Dawn was just going through a bunch of boxes and found some old home videos.
"Hey Kim? Do you know what's on this tape?"
"Nope. I have no idea. Wanna watch it to find out?"
"Sure."
Dawn popped in the tape and her and Kim sat on the couch to watch.
"Awww, this is us getting ready for our senior prom!!" Dawn said.
"Oh my gosh! I look so hideous with all that lip liner on!" Kim laughed at herself.
~*~*~(In The Video)~*~*~
"Oh my gosh Dawn! What if he doesn't come?" Kim said while talking to Dawn. Her date for the prom wasn't there yet.
"Maybe, he's running a bit late? I'm sure he'll be here."
Kim and Dawn were at DeShaun's house. DeShaun was taking Dawn to the prom and Kim was going with some other guy. Marshall was watching Kim from the top of the stairs, but just out of her view. Marshall felt so sad. Her date wasn't there yet. Marshall decided got changed into a nice suit and decided to surprise her. Since her date wasn't here, he figured he could fill those shoes. He always loved Kim. Ever since he first saw her when he was dancing around and jumping on the furniture singing.
Marshall got changed and as he was coming down the stairs to surprise Kim, he saw DeShaun, Dawn, Kim, and Kim's date all leaving for the prom. Turned out her date was just a few minutes late. Marshall's expression on his face got really sad and tears started to form. He walked back up the stairs.
~*~*~*~(Video Ends)~*~*~*~
"Oh my gosh..." Dawn said, "I can't believe he was going to do that for you. How sweet."
Kim didn't say anything. She left her sister's place and went straight over to Marshall's.
She knocked on the door.
"Hey Kim. What are you doing here?"
Kim didn't say anything. She gave him a nice, long kiss.
"I've missed you. I'm so sorry."
They both stood there in each other's arms for a few minutes.
"Is your divorce final?" Kim asked.
"Yeah. Ashley and I aren't together anymore."
"Are you okay? You seem kinda sad?"
"Well...there is one thing that could cheer me up."
"What's that?"
"If you be my wife."
"What?! Are you serious?"
"Yep. So, will you marry me?"
"Yes."
